Andrew Livingstone
In Andrew's comprehensive career as an artist he has worked on numerous public art and community projects as well as exhibiting internationally. He gained an MA from the University of Ulster in 1995, where he is currently a part-time lecturer in Fine and Applied Art specialising in ceramics. He is experienced facilitating the creation of public and community art in particularly challenging situations. Recently, he has been engaged in an Arts Council Northern Ireland residency entitled "Artists in Education" at Ballynahinch High School, Co Down.
Recent projects include: a large scale mosaic at the Riverside Park, Ballymoney which was created with 400 schoolchildren; "Education Through Arts and Culture", a schools-based project in north and west Belfast; and the "Year of the Artist" where he installed a site-specific work at Magilligan airfield which was created by 1000 schoolchildren - this work can be viewed on a CD-ROM published by Arts Council Northern Ireland.
